THE ARTISTS IN ZÜRICH-WITIKON
Anahit Diez-Gyurjyan – Artist Biography
Anahit Diez-Gyurjyan was born in Armenia and now lives in Zurich, where she works as a passionate artist with a deep love for color. Her art grows from a fascination with vibrant tones and the powerful impact of shapes that can tell stories without words.
From a young age, Anahit found in art a place where she could feel free and understood. Painting became her way of making emotions visible—sometimes wild, sometimes loud, always honest. This immediate energy is present in all her works: they vibrate with feeling and invite viewers to immerse themselves in her colorful worlds.
For more than ten years, Anahit has exhibited her work in solo and group shows in Switzerland, Spain, and Armenia. Her paintings travel far—many have found new homes across Europe and the USA. Collectors particularly appreciate the bold, authentic signature of her art.
In addition to her paintings, Anahit also collaborates with fashion brands. Her distinctive patterns are used in high-quality silk accessories such as scarves, bringing together art and fashion in a playful, elegant way.
Sabrina Aureli – Artist Biography
Sabrina is a multidisciplinary visual artist from Rome, born in 1965. Her passion for art began early, earning her the Young Artist Award of Rome at the age of ten. She later graduated with a Master of Science in Visual Communications from the Cogno Associati Communication Study Center and went on to work for major advertising agencies and design studios, specializing in graphic design, art direction, and multimedia.
Today, her artistic practice focuses on photography and its many expressive possibilities, often inspired by dreams and inner landscapes. Aureli has received numerous international recognitions, including the Fine Art Professional Awards from Creative Quarterly (2021, 2024) and the 2nd Prize at the “Ecologically” exhibition in Castel Gandolfo (2022).
Her work has been selected for major exhibitions worldwide—among them the Salon d’Automne in Paris (2021), the Museum National Art Center Tokyo (2022), the ANTROPOCENE Biennale in Italy, and multiple Biennials in Sanremo, Venice, Mantua, Ferrara, and Paris. She also participated in the 58th Venice Art Biennale in 2019 (ECC).
Aureli has been featured in prestigious art catalogs and international projects, including “Artists in History” (with José Van Roy Dalí), “The State of Art at the time of the 60th Venice Biennale,” and the global yearbook Artisti 2024. Some of her works have also been published by the OECD.
Jesus Morilla – Artist Biography
Jesús Morilla is a Spanish artist and creative born in Seville in 1975, although he spent his life in Barcelona, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Barcelona.
Immediately after finishing his studies, Morilla moved to Madrid, then to Seville, and back to Madrid, where he currently lives and works.
After his early years devoted entirely to artistic creation, with solo exhibitions and various accolades, his creative exploration led him to embark on an intense professional career as an advertising Creative Director and Art Director, which lasted 18 years at top agencies in Spain and Germany, where he also lived for a time.
This period of professional creative activity in a field outside the visual arts scene leads him to adopt a different perspective on painting. The knowledge gained about the economic scene, business, and consumer societies gradually shapes, from the shadows, a new approach to art. More free and eclectic. More sensory.
Today, Morilla’s work remains a continuous exploration of the expressive capabilities of visual communication. As Creative Director of his own design studio, where brand strategies and concepts are developed. As in painting, where one seeks expressions that obey no command other than emotion.
Manuela Mollwitz – Artist Biography
Manuela Mollwitz is a multidisciplinary artist, painter, sculptor, jewelry creator, and founder of the OTTO Brand. Born and raised in the countryside of Northern Germany, she discovered her passion for art at a young age. After studying pedagogy and photography in Hamburg, she continued her artistic education at the Accademia di Brera in Milan, graduating in 2000. Since 1995, she has lived and worked in Lugano, Switzerland.
Manuela’s practice explores new ways of interpreting everyday forms, recontextualizing objects through painting, sculpture, and design. She works with oil paints, soft pastels, bronze, and stainless steel. Her fluid brushwork, precise eye for detail, and distinctive visual language have resulted in a body of work that is expressive, contemporary, and deeply personal.
Inspired by people, nature, animals, and her social environment, Manuela combines art and design while remaining rooted in her own emotional experiences. Her ongoing experimentation allows her to create diverse artworks—from paintings to sculptures to jewelry—each marked by a unique and recognizable signature.
A key aspect of her artistic exploration is the dynamic interplay between strength and vulnerability. She is particularly fascinated by the tension between feminine emotional depth and its opposing forces, revealing complex human dualities through her work.
Manuela was shortlisted for the prestigious “Premio Arte” by Mondadori in 2010 with her painting Polo Umpire. In 2019, she participated in the 58th Venice Art Biennale in collaboration with the European Cultural Center (ECC), marking an important milestone in her career.
Ermanno Poletti – Artist Biography
Ermanno Poletti, born in 1973 in Villafranca di Verona, is an Italian sculptor whose artistic journey began in the industrial world. While working in metal manufacturing in his early twenties, he discovered the expressive potential of steel — a material that would become central to his work.
He later studied sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, graduating in 2005 and earning teaching qualifications in sculptural disciplines, drawing, and art history. Poletti trained with esteemed masters such as Salvatore Scelba, who introduced him to ceramics, and Bruno Gandola, with whom he collaborated both at the Brera Academy and the University of Milan in the field of material and restoration techniques.
His public artworks can be found across Italy, including large graffito pieces for cultural and religious institutions in Casoli di Camaiore, San Miniato, Mantua, and Cerano d’Intelvi. In 2022, he completed an altarpiece of Saint Lawrence in graffito and gold leaf for the Papal Basilica of San Lorenzo fuori le mura in Rome.
Since 2011, Poletti has been teaching sculpture and plastic arts at the Liceo Artistico Giulio Romano in Mantua, continuing to balance his roles as artist, craftsman, and educator.
Casa per l'arte initiative
Displaying artworks in our newly renovated homes
In the time between the end of the renovation and the handover of the property to the new owner we will use the empty spaces to curate artworks from different artists.
This project is meaningful to us because we love art and we want to support artists for free to give them another platform to display their work. Our homes are particularly harmonious designed and light-flooded to spotlight fine art pieces.
This relation with art and artist is in the roots of our company, since we think that art is an essential aspect of life and living.
